What are donations used for?

Seasons Hospice Foundation provides funding for the extraordinary needs of our patients and families that extend beyond the borders of the traditional hospice benefit. Funding interventions can range from fulfilling a final wish for a quiet anniversary celebration to helping pay for utility bills or covering the travel costs to bring a distant family member to a patient’s bedside. Specific programs include our Making Memories Program, special bereavement programs, as well as educational programs in the communities we serve.

Where is Seasons Hospice Foundation located and whom does it serve?

Seasons Hospice Foundation fulfills its mission through patient interventions and education in the communities that are served by Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care across the United States.

Will my donation stay in my community?

In most cases, your donation is used within your own community. A local Foundation Committee consisting of hospice professionals, front-line caregivers, and volunteers evaluates the needs and requests of patients and their families, ensuring that funding is directed to the most critical needs.

Do you accept gifts "In Kind"?

Goods or services are always appreciated. Please contact Marisa at our National Foundation office at 847-692-1000 x 1063.

Are donations to Seasons Hospice Foundation tax-deductible?

Yes, monetary donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible. However, certain donations in which the donor receives a good or service in return for a donation are not tax-deductible or may only be partially deductible. This would apply to Seasons Hospice Foundation Events and Sponsorship Opportunities.

Is the family notified of my donation amount?

Yes, the family is notified that you have made a contribution. However, the amount of money donated through memorial or honor donations remains confidential.

Do you have family addresses on file?

We have at least one family member on file.

How long does it take to receive an acknowledgment letter?

Please allow 7 to 10 days for receipt by USPS.
